Date: Winter Season.

With hundreds of miles of trails in three mountain ranges, snowmobiling is a favorite winter pastime in Sublette County. Several events are sponsored by local enthusiasts just for a good time, but they also bring competitors from all around the Rocky Mountain region. The Winter Snowmobile Drags, held in February, and Grass Drags, held in September, attract over 100 competitors and feature trophies as well as cash prizes. The One-Lunger 100 is mostly "just for fun". The 100 mile race allows only one-cylinder machines built in 1973 or earlier. Keeping the sleds running and just finishing is the real challenge.
