The Annual Green River Valley Winter Carnival
First organized in 2002, this five-day antidote to the winter "blahs" offers off-beat games and celebrations for kids and adults. Participation is free with the exception of entry fees for the adult tug-of-war and arm wrestling contests. Kids receive 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals in an Olympics-style awards ceremony. No special equipment is required except pack boots for the tug of war, and skis or snowboards for the joring races. No pre-registration is necessary - just show up.
